Pride Charlotte is holding a Theme Contest. Send us your idea for the next Pride Charlotte theme! In 2006 it was a "Celebration of Diversity." In 2007 we were "United for Equality." In 2008 we wanted to "Live Love Be." And for 2009? That's where you come in!

The 2009 Pride Charlotte theme contest is open to the entire community. The winner of the contest will receive $50, two 2009 event t-shirts, and recognition on the website and in the Pride Guide.

Contest Rules:
-The theme should support Pride Charlotte’s mission statement: Empowering all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and allied peoples to stand as unique individuals and together as a community, with the purpose of uniting as a creative, social, economic, and influential force.
-Must be appropriate for any uses, including but not limited to: advertising, website, t-shirts,and other promotional items.
-All submissions become the property of Pride Charlotte and the Lesbian & Gay Community Center of Charlotte.
-The Pride Charlotte Task Force will review submissions and select 3 to 4 finalists. The finalists will be posted anonymously on the Pride Charlotte website, and voting will be open to the community. In the event of a tie, the Pride Charlotte Task Force will select the winner.

Submissions must be received by October 25, 2008. Finalists will be selected and posted on the website for voting on October 29, and voting will close on November 14.
